A folk diptych. Keng meets Tong in rural Thailand and the sunny countryside protects the men as they grow closer. One night, after their date, Tong walks into the jungle and disappears. Keng begins to look for him, tracking a tiger he believes to be Tong in a new form. Between these worlds, the two lovers are challenged into an existential transformation.

Programming Notes
Closing the programme, Tropical Malady offers an ontological metamorphosis as balm for all loss witnessed. There is no rupture between life and death, only a continuous stream, flowing in both directions.
